Wow. We are humbled by the kind words of our customers.

Every day our Islamorada restaurant crew strives to better their best in service, food and customer care. Since 2002 Kaiyo has been the “go to” spot for locals and visitors enjoying their Islamorada vacation and looking for an unforgettable meal.

The new Kaiyo Grill & Sushi offers that and so much more. The diversity of our new menu rivals any big city eatery.

Always cool Sushi…now hot with a wood-fire grill twist. It’s a little cool and a little hot…just like you. So find yourself at Kaiyo Grill.

“A lovely spot…”

“We had the most gourmet dinner of our month in the Keys. The food was absolutely delicious. I had drunken scallops with lobster mashed potatoes – yum, yum. My partner had the hogfish stuffed with crabmeat – yum yum. We sat outside on the front porch because we would soon be confined to being in our house up north. The menu was diverse. If you like sushi, this is the place in Islamorada for you. A lovely spot to spend our last dinner in the Keys.”

“A welcomed change…”

“Ate here recently on a trip to Islamorada…there was an extensive sushi menu (including a few vegetarian options) and a lot of fresh seafood. I’m a vegetarian, and other than the sushi and a few small side salads, there were no other vegetarian options. I went with the veggie sushi which was actually pretty good…Given the alternatives in the area (small grille and bar places, etc), this was a welcomed change. I’d recommend here for a bit higher class experience (jeans is still acceptable attire though) and something different…..not often do you find good sushi in the smaller Keys.”

“Fresh and delicious…”

“Had a very nice meal here–sushi and an udon dish. The sushi was fresh and delicious with a lovely presentation. The udon dish was very yummy. Our server was very friendly. Was truly the best meal we ate while while in the keys.”

“Melt in your mouth…”

“This is a favorite local hang-out and one of our top picks in the Keys. In fact, we eat here about once a week and always run into lots of local celebrities. The eclectic menu includes really excellent wood-grilled local fish, prime steaks and a great sushi list. Mindy’s Ribs Appetizer are melt-in-your-mouth “gooey-good.” Also love the fried Eggplant Chips with spicy misonaise. For Sushi Rolls, you can’t beat the Kaiyo Roll – fresh Maine lobster, mango, avocado, cilantro, masago and spicy misonaise or the Island Star Dekiy Roll – spicy escolar and cucumber topped with Yellow fin Tuna and avocado with spicy misonaise.

When we’re not satiating ourselves at the Sushi Bar, we often opt for the gluten-free Macadamia Encrusted Hogfish with house-made Mango sauce. It’s crispy, light and absolutely delicious. Another favorite is the Cilantro-Glazed Ahi Tuna served over peanut sauce noodles with Thai-style vegetables. Even if you’re not a big sushi and fresh fish fan, you can still indulge on meatier items like the 24 oz. Bone-In Rib Eye, Lemon-Seared Chicken, Rack of Lamb or Wagu Beef Burger.”

“…best we’ve ever had!”

“I visit the Florida Keys fairly often, and I go to the Kaiyo Grill multiple times each visit. The menu is excellent, with a wide variety of fish, sushi, and a salad to die for. One of our group was a vegetarian – the menu had several options but if you call ahead the chef will make some thing custom and delicious for you. Drinks wise there is a full wine list, but we ordered a delicious sake based martini. The bread pudding for desert was the best we’ve ever had. Best restaurant I’ve been to in the keys.”
