“One of the best in Islamorada" ... This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Keys and we consider ourselves "Foodies."” “Truly Amazing!!!”
...“Hidden jewel!”..."So delicious!"

“Delicious dinner our last night in the Keys”

“We had the most gourmet dinner of our month in the Keys. The food was absolutely delicious. I had drunken scallops with lobster mashed potatoes - yum, yum. My partner had the hogfish stuffed with crabmeat - yum yum. We sat outside on the front porch because we would soon be confined to being in our house up north. The menu was diverse. If you like sushi, this is the place in Islamorada for you. A lovely spot to spend our last dinner in the Keys.”                                       ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Yum”

“Great sushi”

“Sat at the sushi bar, and besides the very loud guy next to us we thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional fresh fish and the creative presentations.”                    ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Nice Place: Higher Class Compared to Alternatives”

“Ate here recently on a trip to Islamorada...there was an extensive sushi menu (including a few vegetarian options) and a lot of fresh seafood. I'm a vegetarian, and other than the sushi and a few small side salads, there were no other vegetarian options. I went with the veggie sushi which was actually pretty good...Given the alternatives in the area (small grille and bar places, etc), this was a welcomed change. I'd recommend here for a bit higher class experience (jeans is still acceptable attire though) and something different.....not often do you find good sushi in the smaller Keys.”                         ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Different. Sushi”

“This restaurant was so good I went two nights in a row. The special rolls were excellent. I had the Best crunchy and Macadamia hog fish. These rolls had a variety of interesting flavors and ingredients. The mango flavored dip was great with the hog fish. Desserts are worthy of mention. The better than sex bread pudding was over the top and the mango cereme brulle was very good.”    ~ TripAdvisor.com; Jan. 2012

“Hip, Jewel Box Of A Restaurant

"This is a favorite local hang-out and one of our top picks in the Keys. In fact, we eat here about once a week and always run into lots of local celebrities. The eclectic menu includes really excellent wood-grilled local fish, prime steaks and a great sushi list. Mindy's Ribs Appetizer are melt-in-your-mouth "gooey-good." Also love the fried Eggplant Chips with spicy misonaise. For Sushi Rolls, you can't beat the Kaiyo Roll - fresh Maine lobster, mango, avocado, cilantro, masago and spicy misonaise or the Island Star Dekiy Roll - spicy escolar and cucumber topped with Yellow fin Tuna and avocado with spicy misonaise. When we're not satiating ourselves at the Sushi Bar, we often opt for the gluten-free Macadamia Encrusted Hogfish with house-made Mango sauce. It's crispy, light and absolutely delicious. Another favorite is the Cilantro-Glazed Ahi Tuna served over peanut sauce noodles with Thai-style vegetables. Even if you're not a big sushi and fresh fish fan, you can still indulge on meatier items like the 24 oz. Bone-In Rib Eye, Lemon-Seared Chicken, Rack of Lamb or Wagu Beef Burger..."      ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Excellent Sushi!”

“Went there for sushi and it was amazing! It was probably some of the best sushi I've ever had. Price was average. Great decor - make reservations ahead of time for outdoor seating.”   ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Delicious seafood”

“Our family had a delicious meal here. I would say the food falls somewhere between 4 and 5 stars, but I give it an excellent because all of the food we ordered was delicious and what we expected. The kids had the ribs and loved them. The portions are very generous. We did not need to each order an appetizer, they can definitely be shared. Tuna tataki was great as were the pork dumplings (there are a lot of them). We did not eat dessert because we couldn't finish the portions we had ordered. The atmosphere is funky and they have definitely made the most of it, given it's roadside setting.”                     ~ TripAdvisor.com

“wonderful”

“We were very impressed with the menu it had everything anyone could ask for. The hogfish meneure was suggested by our server as well as the scallop dish. The only thing that surpassed the food was the service our waiter was very helpful and courteous and informed us his wife was the other server who also came by to meet us.Kaiyo Sushi is the best and we enjoyed everything including the Bread Pudding.”

“Delicious Food, Incredible Service”

“I visit the Florida Keysfairly often, and I go to the Kaiyo Grill multiple times each visit. The menu is excellent, with a wide variety of fish, sushi, and a salad to die for. One of our group was a vegetarian - the menu had several options but if you call ahead the chef will make some thing custom and delicious for you. Drinks wise there is a full wine list, but we ordered a delicious sake based martini. The bread pudding for desert was the best we've ever had. Best restaurant I've been to in the keys.”      ~ TripAdvisor.com

“This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Keys and we consider ourselves "Foodies."”

"This is the best restaurant that we have been to in the upper keys, and since we're locals, we've been to almost all of them, with the exception of Pierre's (we'll be going soon). The food was superb. The Udon is highly recommended. Service was fine, and the atmosphere is subdued chic and romantic. We had a great time and can't wait to go back soon!"    ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Sushi was great, service excellent and friendly, enjoy the atmosphere”

"Two kinds of seaweed salad! Superb. When the waiter overhead that we were celebrating my birthday he gave us a desert on the house. The bread pudding was out of this world..."  ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Best meal we had in the keys”

"Food Tasted Amazing"

" My hubsand and I loved this place! Food tasted amazing! It was the first restaurant we ate at when we got to the keys on vacation. Our server was friendly, and timed everything nicely when he took the order/brought stuff out. I had filet minion, best I've tasted in a long time, cooked perfectly. My husband got lobster stuffed with crab. I hate seafood and tasted the crab, and loved it! That's how flavorful and good it was cooked! Prices were
a little over the top, but being in the keys for a week we learned that all the restaurants are like that. Oh, and also it's very romantic in the evening for dinner! Candle lit, very pretty! All in all we loved it."       ~ Urbanspoon.com

“Absolutely Delicious both in food selection and in atmosphere!”

"My husband and I enjoyed the chef's choice of sushi, which melted in our mouths from the first bite! Grouper cheeks were also a delicacy which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also enjoyed looking around at the decor. It was unusual in an elegantly eclectic way! We both are looking forward to our next trip down to Islamorada just so we can return to this delectable restaurant!"       ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Hidden jewel!”

"When you see this restaurant from the outside it doesn't look like much, but based on the reviews on TA we gave it a try. From the inside the restaurant was very nice with a fancy interior. We were well received by the owner (we think) and the waitress were very friendly. We all took some of the more expensive meals and we can really recommend the stuffed lobster, Bubbas big-a.. shrimp and the alligator light (fish
stuffed with crab meat). Our kids both took the chef's sushi dinner. This was a very beautiful dish..."                                                           ~ TripAdvisor.com

“Fish and foodies dream!”

"Go with friends who love fish! We ordered lots of fish (no sushi) and asked to have it served family style for sharing. Mahi mahi, hog fish, grouper and tuna and it was all amazing. Restaurant is known as the best for sushi too but we did not have any. Don't miss out on this one if you are in the area."       ~ TripAdvisor.com

"...so outstanding..."

"We have been here about 5 times over the past few years and our most recent dining experiences have been so outstanding that I wanted to write about it. In addition to great appetizers and entrees, the have the best bread pudding you will ever have. In fact, challenge you to find better! The service is also excellent, especially Scott! Try the Tuna Tataki appetizers, pork dumpling, and mac hog roll. I would also recommend asking your server for ideas and specials."     ~Urbanspoon.com
